    Fabulous

It was affordable for our family for the week we stayed, the room was very clean. The mattress could stand to be changed...it wasnt very comfortable at all. The staff was friendly and when I had a problem with my room they were very quick to fix the problem.

There was a staff member there who was wonderful! He was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and the beds were the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on! The location was nice and so was the area. Would definitely stay there again.

The evening desk clerk, Mariano Soto, helped us find a great place to eat every night that we could either walk to or he could get the shuttle to bring us. Different foods every night and all were great choices. He wouldn't even take a tip when offered. We also were able to get any additional items for the room within minutes of requesting them.

The day shift desk clerk that I bought zoo tickets and scheduled the shuttle for left our name off the list for the return trip. We sat at the zoo until the afternoon desk clerk could get us a shuttle to pick us up (only 20 extra minutes.) Just make sure you see them write your name down and not just ask what time pickup you prefer. The hot tub jets are half broken, so only half of the hot tub is comfortable the other has the jets shooting water out of the hot tub. We were mainly in there by ourselves, so it wasn't an issue.

    Exceptional

I arrived during the S.D. power outage on Thursday night around 7 pm. The hotel was conveniently located near my business. Also the staff graciously and patiently dealt with the guests as I was following up on my reservation and getting my key. The staff even offered guests water bottles and granola bars who couldn't really go anywhere because almost all of the cafes and restaurants closed down immediately. I know because I tried several fast food restaurants in University Heights and found some food and drinks only at one small grocery store on Park Avenue. As I drove down from the Heights and through Mission Hills, there were no lights on the street and no places were open. Some guests became a little irritated, but then I don't think they knew what was going on because they didn't have cars. The staff was extremely professional in dealing with those few miscreants. My suggestion for the future, in case another emergency occurs, is: (1) have an emergency generator for the stairways. I couldn't see my way up on half-way up to the second floor. The hall way only had an exit sign lit. (2) maybe having small flashlights for guests (or at least guests with families) would help. Batteries could always be kept outside and changed as expiration dates occur. (3) Open up several bottles of wine, soda, and put out some crackers and nuts and light some candles in the lobby. Create a quick wine bar ambiance free of charge to calm everyone down and take the edge off. I could have used a few glasses of wine that night, but I managed on the Pepsi I had brought with me. (4) Also, if your restaurant is not going to have electricity and food might spoil, take all that food and serve it to guests....luncheon meats, cheese, bread. Better to be remembered for your hospitality and have repeat customers and great word of mouth advertising than spoiled food. The power outage lasted only 12 hours, so food may have lasted, but it was amazing that it was resolved so quickly.

One concern I had was that when I booked in, it said I had 4 guests; however, there is only one of me. Also, I am not sure if I asked for the kitchenette or if that was the only room available; fortunately, they changed it at the desk because I couldn't use it anyway as there was no power.

This hotel was clean enough. It had a fridge and microwave so that was nice. It was close to the beaches and easy to get to from the highways. For the price in the hotel circle it was worth it

    Superb

I liked that we had a Shuttle Ride to Sea World. It was very convenient. It was very close to our hotel.

I wish you had a complimentary breakfast with our price of our room. Also it would of been nice if you had a fitness room for the guests to work out in.

    Fabulous

Value for money, location, and especially the shuttles to airport and main attractions.

    Superb

The location was good and, although quite far from the city centre, with good connections to the downtown area by bus and metro-train. Room was spacious, good provisions, including cost-free WiFi and a microwave with complementary popcorn. A good swimming pool with bubble bath. Nearby restaurants offer good but simple food. Airport is not far away. Parking area is large and nicely illuminated. Airport check-in available at the hotel lobby. It is only 10 min. walk to the Town and Country Resort Hotel, which is a well-known conference centre in San Diego but with accommodation at a different price level.

The Days Hotel is not a hotel, but a typical US motel, where the cars park in front of the rooms, each having the entrance from outside. It has a very modest lobby area, and is quite close to a noisy interstate motorway. It has no airport shuttle service (stopped operation recently); airport shuttle fares are 11 - 18 USD. Around are only other hotels and motels, no city quarters.
